HMS Victory and HMS Clio in 2003

On 2nd April 1988

 – at the age of eleven -

I fell in love with HMS Victory -

when I saw a painting of her in a book.

In 1988 I build the first model of Victory,

here swimming in a watering place for birds.

In the following years I built some models of her

in a very small scale. 1993 I begun with a 1:48

scale model of Victory... but I wasn’t satisfied with the

size of the model.

In spring 1995 I started a 1:24 scale

 model of Victory. First I had to collect oak

compass timber for the framing...
