The “Cruiser Class” was the most numerous class of warships built in the age of sail.

 

HMS Clio attacked the fortress at Tórshavn Harbour in 1808.

In 1833 HMS Clio, HMS Tyne and Charles Darwin's HMS Beagle helped to take

control of the Falkland Islands.
